1.1 We are Retail Optimisation, a registered sole trader in England (referred to as "us", “we”, and “Retail Optimisation”). We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy when you are visiting any website maintained by us including without limitation the website at www.retailoptimisation.com and our social networking pages (together the “Website”) or when you communicate electronically or over the telephone with us.

1.2 This policy explains what types of personal and non-personal information we collect when you use the Website and the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it. 1.3 Retail Optimisation uses the personal information we collect from you to provide our service to you. We will not rent or sell your personal information with any other company for its own marketing purposes without your consent except where mentioned in this policy.

1.4 This policy is designed to ensure that we safely handle your personal data in accordance with relevant regulations and legislation such as Data Protection Act 1998 and EU General Data Protection Regulations 2018 (referred to in this document as the “Act”).

1.5 Data protection law differentiates between the “controller” and “processor” of information. Unless otherwise stated, Retail Optimisation will be considered to be the data controller and processor of your information according to the whether it is simply processing or controlling the use of the information.

What personal information do we collect?
2.1 We may collect, store and use the following kinds of personal information:

(a) Information you give us. You may give us information about you by filling in forms on our Website or by corresponding with us by phone, e-mail or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you:
(i) register to use the Website and/or subscribe to our service (including, but not limited to, name, email address, property address, country, city.)

We are also working closely with third parties (including, for example, business partners, suppliers, retailers, payment and delivery services, advertising networks, analytics providers, search information providers) and may receive information about you from them. Our use of cookies

Where we store your personal data

Access to information
10.1 The Act gives you the right to access information held about you. Your right of access can be exercised in accordance with the Act. Any access request is free of charge for your first request, further repetitive requests may be subject to small a fee to meet our costs in providing you with details of the information we hold about you.

Transferring your information overseas

11.1 Your information may be transferred to and stored in locations outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including countries that may not have the same level of protection for personal information. When we do this, we'll ensure it has an appropriate level of protection and that the transfer is lawful. We may need to transfer your information in this way to carry out our contract with you, to fulfil a legal obligation, to protect the public interest and/or for our legitimate interests. In some countries, the law might compel us to share certain information, e.g. with tax authorities. Even in these cases, we'll only share your information with people who have the right to see it.

Retaining and deleting personal data
12.1 Personal data that we process for any purpose shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose. This means that unless there is a good reason to do so we won't keep your personal data more than 5 years after our business relationship has ended.

12.2 It is not possible for us to specify in advance the periods for which your personal data will be retained. However, we will determine the period of retention based on your continued use of our website or services and based on our requirements for proper record keeping and accounting and legal purposes.

12.3 Notwithstanding the other provisions of this section 11, we may retain your personal data where such retention is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject, or in order to protect your legal interests or the legal interests of another person.
